Banque Malienne de Solidarité - Finanzdienstleistungen für benachteiligte Gruppen
Banque Malienne de Solidarité
Financial services for disadvantaged groups
Banque Malienne de Solidarité (BMS), founded in 2002, is a local bank providing financial services to village associations, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Mali that are not served by conventional banks.
In addition to providing financial services, the bank finances youth development programmes and projects promoting micro enterprises, start-ups and self-employment.
The bank has also financially supported displaced people in the north suffering from food insecurity caused by the political crisis that hit Mali in 2012. These humanitarian operations were conducted with NGOs and international organisations, including the World Food Program (WFP).
Banque Malienne de Solidarité has been an Oikocredit partner since 2017.
