Ebirungi Biruga Omututu Cooperative Society Limited (EBO SACCO) is a savings and credit cooperative that offers members savings products, loans and training on farming best practices.
The cooperative was established in 1995 by a group of farmers to improve access to financial services. It has been officially registered as a savings and credit cooperative since 2002. Its mission is to be a leading and enterprising financial institution.
Today, EBO SACCO serves more than 16,000 registered members, mostly based in rural areas, through five branches (December 2015).
The cooperative operates in the district of Mbarara, southwest of Kampala, which has a lot of agricultural growth potential.
Ebirungi Biruga Omututu Cooperative Society Limited has been an Oikocredit partner since 2017.
