Access to financing for micro-, small and medium enterprises

Green
Promotes and/or supports the protection of the environment. An example of this is an organic farming cooperative.COFINA Sénégal, founded in 2014, is a financial institution providing loans and a wide range of other services to micro-, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) which do not have access to traditional banking services. In 2015, Oikocredit became the first international social lender to partner with the institution.
The financial institution is a subsidiary of the COFINA Group, a Pan African financial institution focused on 'mesofinance', the missing link between microfinance and traditional banking, and offering small and medium enterprises better access to credit. The group has financed more than 40,000 projects, many of which run by women entrepreneurs, and has established itself as the benchmark for SME financing in French-speaking Africa. It currently operates in six countries: Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea, Gabon, Mali, Congo and Senegal (2018).
COFINA Sénégal’s social mission and objectives focus on the development of start-up enterprises, growth of existing businesses, poverty reduction and employment generation.
