The microfinance institution (MFI) MicroCred Mali was created in 2011 in Bamako by MicroCred SA, an investment company, founded in 2005. MicroCred SA’s objective is to create and develop a group of MFIs in Africa and provide them with technical assistance to become leading MFIs in their respective countries.
Mali's microfinance sector mainly focuses on supporting agricultural activities in rural areas.
MicroCred Mali targets underserved micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to help promote small entrepreneurship across Mali.
MicroCred Mali has been an Oikocredit partner since 2014.
