Fusion Microfinance Private Ltd is a microfinance institution founded in northern India in 1994.
A large proportion of the Indian population live below the formal poverty line. Women in particular, often encounter difficulties when it comes to achieving a sustainable livelihood. Fusion aims to provide microfinance services to such women, which they can use for their micro enterprises in agriculture and trade.
Fusion pays particular attention to issues of over-indebtedness and irresponsible lending, training its branch managers and relationship officers on the risks of multiple lending, so that its staff can be certain that prospective borrowers are aware of the risks and responsibilities that borrowing entails.
